I’ve just updated the Steam GCF file format with some new info from a contributer by the name of “Addict”. I’ve also updated the C++ and header files.
I’ve also figured out which the 3rd party encrption library Steam uses, plus the encryption type and a nice 320 byte key. But don’t even bother e-mailing me for details because I’m not going to help you. I have no intention of every publishing any tool or info to help circumvent the Steam encryption method.
I am however telling you all this to try and stop all the 1337 CS script-kiddies e-mailing me to tell me they think that GCF files an encrypted using Chinese…
